Hey! So Glad You're Here.
My name is Elena, and I love theater. I'm fortunate to live in Minneapolis, MN, which ranks as the fifth most "creatively vital" city in the country. This place, and the surrounding area, are teeming with great theater, and I'm here to see as much of it as I can. You're here to read about it.

My interest in theater (especially musical theater) started in sixth grade,
when my teacher, Mrs. Huston, told me about a reality show called
"Grease! You're the One that I Want," during which performers
competed for the prize of playing Danny and Sandy in the Grease
revival on Broadway. From then on, I was obsessed with Grease,
which expanded to musicals in general when I saw Mamma Mia! on
Broadway with my family, and I've been hooked ever since.

I'm a fairly typical 20-something millennial, and over the years, I've
learned a lot about navigating the theater space with a millennial
worldview, an interest in social justice, and a shoestring budget. I talk
about this stuff in all the time in my day-to-day life, and I created this
blog as a space to write about it. Theater patrons are overwhelming
50 and up, and I want fellow young people to know what they're
missing. I don't have a technical background in theater, but, probably, neither do you. We're in this together.

And, pro-tip: mezzanine seats still have good views and are way cheaper than orchestra seats.

See you in the mezzanine!
